Single Review: Cassyette- September Rain

September Rain is the newest single from solo artist Cassyette (also known as Cassy Brooking).

The single is a gothic, atmospheric affair which can be compared to the likes of bands like Flyleaf and Evanescence. However I feel like the song has more of a down to earth vibe that makes it a little easier to relate to. Cassyette is from Chelmsford, Essex, and being an Essex girl too, that only makes me like her more. September Rain is my first encounter with Cassyette and with its powerful build up and big chorus, I can’t help but be hungry to hear more.

Cassyette has already been getting positive reviews from the likes of MTV and Clash Magazine. With a big following on social media too, I’m sure we will be hearing much more from Cassyette. It is time for some new female role models in rock music, and Cassyette might just be one.
